So this is business, huh?
People talk weird in the business world. Everybody keeps using silly words and phrases like “lean in” and “the elephant in the room.” WTF do they mean?
OK, let’s cut it to the core. People talk this way because either:
- They think the phrase perfectly describes what they mean.
- They don’t know any other way to describe it (and, possibly, they aren’t sure what they mean).
- They think it makes them sound smarter (but they still don’t really know what they mean).
What you need is a hybrid of dictionary and glossary to translate all that business-speak and motivational jargon into normal words.
